Domestic Partnership Agreements, also known as Living Together Contracts

Arizona does not have a state-wide domestic partnership law. As a result, it is particularly important for same sex couples to draft their own document outlining each other's positions with respect to property. This type of document is interchangeably referred to as either a Living Together Contract or a Domestic Partnership Agreement.

A Living Together Contract creates a marriage-like situation through a contract. It is very similar to a prenuptial agreement in that it outlines how assets will be divided in the event that the relationship ends.

When drafting a Living Together Contract, it is important to limit the contract to your finances and assets. Other issues could invalidate the contract and are best left to separate documents.

The cost of a Living Together Contract starts at $325 and includes an initial consultation to discuss the terms of the contract, a draft contract for you to review and the final contract.
